FRIENDS OF ST PAUL’S
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE FRIENDS OF ST PAUL’S
Who are the Friends of St Paul’s?
Every parent/carer is automatically a member of the Friends of St Paul’s as we all share the same key interest of having our children’s education and welfare at heart. Helping the children at home with homework and the academic side of things is an obvious way we show our support but there are also opportunities to help a bit more by supporting the school in raising funds to improve the environment in which our children learn and enjoy their school life.
St Paul’s has always been very fortunate that our children’s parents and families show an extraordinary amount of support for the activities and events that are held and as we continue to grow we hope this support will continue.
Why do we need to raise funds?
As a catholic voluntary-aided school, the school must contribute 10% of
If the school fails to raise this funding then funding from alternative sources could be withheld thus affecting further school developments.

How can you help?
There are so many ways to get involved. We know that not everyone can come along to the regular meetings and that is absolutely fine. Maybe you’ve visited some fundraising events elsewhere and noticed something that seemed to be really popular – let us know, we are always looking for new ideas. Perhaps you could give an hour of your time to help out at raffle sales, serve drinks to the children at the disco or help setting up or at the Easter Fayre as a one-off or on a regular basis – any help is always greatly appreciated
If you work for an organisation that may be able to provide raffle prizes/vouchers or provide charitable ‘match’ funding then again, please let us know.
How to get in touch?
Just leave your name and number with Mrs Brown or Mrs Millington at the School Reception and we’ll make sure someone gets in touch with you. We also have a number of parents who come along regularly to meetings or are often
Most importantly, we really want the children to have lots of fun while at St Paul’s and our activities help this to happen and we would love you to get involved in any way you can. We are a friendly bunch and welcome any help you can give.
Dates of meetings are circulated throughout the term please feel free to come along. Your children can come along too!
Minutes of all the meetings are on display in the school porch.
